What is
Cardiac Rehab?

If you have had a heart attack, heart surgery or currently have heart disease your Doctor hopefully will recommend Cardiac Rehabilitation or Cardiovascular Rehabilitation. This is a medically supervised program of exercise, nutrition counselling, symptom management, smoking cessation, stress & hypertension management and control of diabetes or dyslipedemia designed to help you recover after a heart attack or other heart condition.

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a personalized, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, stabilization and possible reversal of cardiovascular disease. Its purpose is to assist you in returning to your optimal activity level, both physically and mentally.

Through teaching you how to seamlessly incorporate heart healthy living into your lifestyle, Cardiac Rehab will ultimately help you regain your strength, prevent your condition from worsening, and reduce your risk of having heart problems in the future.

Benefits of Cardiac Rehab

Cardiac Rehab doesn't change your past, but it can help you to improve your Heart's Future. It offers hope, promotes lifestyle change, reduces hospitalizations and early death.
